Irondale, AL (EWTN) — The National Catholic Register once again captured the About.com Readers’ Choice Award for Best Catholic Newspaper. This is the third year in a row the Register has won this award.

Now in its fifth year, the About.com Readers’ Choice Awards honor the best products, features and services across more than a dozen categories, ranging from technology to hobbies to parenting and more, as selected by About.com readers.

“We are honored by the win and will continue to strive to provide faithful Catholic journalism for the glory of God,” said Register director of marketing Brian Horvath.

The National Catholic Register has experienced circulation increases since being acquired by EWTN Global Catholic Network in February, 2011.

“We continue to see more people subscribing to the Register,” said Dan Burke, executive director of the National Catholic Register. “In a time when so many print publications are seeing a decline in subscribers, we are seeing an increase, which tells me there is a demand for faithful Catholic journalism.”

The Register’s mission is to deliver a measure of hope and confidence in every issue and combat the culture’s aggressive disregard for the sanctity of human life, traditional family values and reverence for our faith.
